Wow, just realized that this page was sorely in need of an update.

It's now Spring in Portland, and we've had a nice few weeks so all the trees are in full bloom. It's that time of year when Oregonians celebrate the end of going to and from work in the dark, and begin to look forward to being able to complain about the heat instead of the rain!

I've been at Thurman Street Studios for over half a year, and I'm so happy there! The other artists are great, and now that the weather is improving I can open my window and let in the spring air. If you haven't been by to see it yet, come on by! It's convieniently located in Northwest Portland (28th and Thurman) near Montgomery Park. The showroom is open somewhat odd hours, but if you let me know when you'd like to come I can be sure to be around.

This year I'll be doing at least two anagama firings and hopefully one smaller woodfire. I'm also experimenting with my new-to-me electric kiln--trying new glazes, decals and slump-molded forms. I'm throwing more functional pieces, jewelry, and some pieces that are just plain fun. Stay tuned!
